Useful tip
On certain night trains, train staff will ask you to hand over your Eurail pass and passport at the start of your journey. Don't worry you'll get them back in the morning before you leave the train. This way train staff won't have to wake you up during the night when you cross a border for the immigration check, allowing you to get a good night's rest before exploring your next destination.
